Warranty Terms

Thank you and congratulations on your purchase of a new Juki domestic sewing machine. Your product is covered by a limited manufacture fault/defect back to base warranty. This document explains important notes, terms and conditions of your warranty.

Warranty period: The product is covered for defective mechanical parts, electrical or electronic components and workmanship for a period Two (2) years from date of purchase.

The warranty is not transferable and is valid only to the original purchaser and from the original Juki dealer that supplied the product.

The warranty does not cover consumable parts or general wear and tear including, but not limited tov needles, light bulbs, belts, bobbins, loopers, knives, needle threaders, throat plates, bobbin cases.

The warranty does not cover business or commercial use, defects arising from operator error, misuse, accident, negligence, non-recommended use, unreasonable care by the operator, use of non- genuine spare parts or accessories or failure to follow and adhere to the operator instruction manual. Use on applications other than intended purpose, Acts of God including, but not limited to, earthquake, flood, lightning or fire. Warranty is void in the event of service, repair or modification made by organisations or individuals other than authorised Juki dealers.

PLEASE REFER TO INCLUDED JUKI CORPORATION WARRANTY CERTIFICATE FOR OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION WHICH APPLY TO YOUR PRODUCT WARRANTY.

The warranty does not cover transportation or postal costs to/from the Juki dealers premises. Any costs of associated transportation of the product to/from the supplying dealer are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Total and limitations of liability

Our total liability of warranty or guarantee is, at our discretion, the replacement or repair of the product.

We will not be liable for special, indirect, incidental, exemplary, economic or consequential damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to loss of profits, in contract or tort suffered by the purchaser or any other person or organisation arising from use of the product or any act or omission by Elizabeth Machines Co., or Juki Corporation, Japan.

Making a claim

Warranty registration must be made within 30 days of purchase by return of enclosed form in original machine box, or online at www.jukidomestic.com.au

General warranty claims are to be lodged with the original supplying Juki Dealer. The dealer will liaise with Elizabeth Machines Co. regarding your warranty claim and remedy as required.

Statutory Consumer Rights

This warranty and our goods come with guarantees which cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they are not fit for intended purpose or fail to be of acceptable quality and the does not amount to a major failure.
